Text Box: On October 10, 2014, Fayette County Deputy Sheriff Roger L. Treadway was honored by WV Delegates Perry, Staggers and Pino, whom requested and adopted a resolution to rename the Fayetteville Pedestrian bridge on Route 19 to be named Deputy Roger Lee Treadway Memorial Bridge. Deputy Treadway was tragically killed in the line of duty on October 8, 1975 by an assailant while he and his partner were rendering aid to a motorist.
